South Mountain Youth Development Program is funded by Maricopa County Crime Prevention Funds. The Program provides Social Skills Workshops, Anger Control Training and Moral Reasoning Workshops to Adjudicated Youth. All Youth who are or have been on Juvenile Probation are eligible for enrollment. This is a 20 hours a week ten week program that operates from 4PM until 8 PM Monday through Friday. Eligible Youth should contact their Probation Officer.  

The Community Initiatives YMCA is a strategic priority for youth development from the Valley of the Sun YMCA. This “branch without walls” operates youth development programming in YMCA service areas throughout Maricopa County and the State of Arizona. The youth development programs offered concentrate in four primary domains of service: High School Dropout Intervention, Work or College Readiness, Youth Leadership, and Youth delinquency prevention and intervention.
