ANYTOWN PROGRAMS

Anytown at the Y supports the schools and organizations that provide Anytown programs and camps during the school year. Since the 1950's Anytown has served thousands of youth leaders from around the state by providing diversity and leadership camps during the summer. Since the mid 80's the Anytown programs have been provided to schools and other organizations during the school year. The following are the programs that are available year round.

Anytown Junior is a two to four night program offered by middle and junior high schools across the state and can be held at Sky Y in Prescott or Chauncey Ranch in Mayer, AZ. Students who are in 6-8th grade are eligible to attend Anytown Junior. The goal of Anytown Junior is to facilitate a greater respect and understanding of ourselves and our place in our communities through communication, healthy relationships, team building and leadership development.

Anytown ranges in length from 2-5 nights and can be held at Sky Y in Prescott or Chauncey Ranch in Mayer, AZ and is geared toward youth ages 14-18. The goals and focus of Anytown are to enhance trust, mutual understanding, and respect among diverse individuals; to build citizenship, personal responsibility, and leadership abilities, and to increase self-esteem and a sense of personal empowerment.

Collegetown is a five-day, four-night program for college bound, college-aged, or currently enrolled college students ages 18+, sponsored by each State University in Arizona and is held at either Sky Y or Chauncey Ranch. Collegetown is similar to Anytown in goals and focus area, it is just offered to an older population.

Beyond Anytown is an advanced leadership program for young adults ages 16+. Those leaders who are community and activist driven are welcome to attend the Beyond camp. It is recommended that participants have an interest in social justice, social change, community building and making a global impact.

Empowertown is an all day event, held locally that focuses on the issues relevant to the school/university that is served.

Anytown at the Y also offers custom programs for schools, businesses, non-profit organizations, and other community organizations on a year-round basis. Workshops for youth as well as adults are provided.
