Women’s Fitness encompasses many different topics and includes many categories of women. It can include strength training, cardio-conditioning, stretch training, group exercise classes, water fitness classes, functional fitness, and nutrition. From active older ladies, to teens, to young girls, to working women, to students, to those trying to gain muscle, and to those trying to lose weight—women’s fitness involves all types of women. Women’s fitness includes all those seeking to lead a life of Healthy Living.
Sunday, May 13 is a celebration of Moms everywhere. During the month of May, we’re celebrating Women’s Fitness at the Y. Some highlights of our celebration include:
• SMART START for Women. Stop in or call to set up your FREE SMART START Appointment at the Y. This 15-minute appointment will customize a YMCA prescription for you and your family.
• Mother/Daughter Fitness Assessments. Mom and daughter get special fitness assessment pricing when they sign-up and attend a fitness assessment together.
• Family Fuel. Join us for our new 45-minute nutrition class that addresses some of the basic nutritional information that every family can use. Find your Y’s class times on the Group Fitness Schedule.
• ZUMBA Month. Happy Cinco de Mayo! If you haven’t tried the hottest group fitness class to sweep the globe—May is the month to be courageous! All of our Y’s offer Zumba classes as part of the membership, so drop on in and let the music move you!
